PRINTING YOUR FOOD "3D Print Your Food With The Foodini Technology"
The idea is that you can load your own materials into the machine and then let it “print” the food, that large manufacturers can make instant meals in the printer capsules or perhaps that small suppliers, artisanal style stuff, can make those capsules.
But the mystery here is really what is the problem that the Foodini is trying to solve? It doesn’t cook anything, it doesn’t time anything, spice it, flavour it, all of the things that determine how good or bad food tastes. All it can in fact do is lay it out for you.
The quality of the food will therefore be exactly and only the quality of the ingredients, how they have been combined and how they are cooked. Which are all things that are determined not by this piece of gadgetry at all. They’re determined by whoever it is that has put together the mixtures that are then printed. Which could be, as now, us, large manufacturers or getting in a takeaway from the local artisanal place around the corner.
